LegalTerms
Terms
This site is a catalogue, not a contract. Licence terms will be published in full before anything is sold.
Status of this site
Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and no price shown here is binding. Products, versions and descriptions are accurate as far as this studio knows at the date above, and may change before launch.
Licensing and the launch period
Builds are currently free for a limited launch period. That is a temporary offer, not a permanent licence grant: it does not promise that a build stays free, and it does not transfer ownership of the software.
After the launch period, paid editions carry later updates and add-on features, and a Pro edition of the macOS apps is sold directly from this site. Prices and terms are published before any paid sale, and nothing is charged automatically.
Four products have an open-source core under the MIT licence — NWD Studio, RungCraft, Findarium and Wiretoss. That licence covers the core code in each public repository, and it governs that code:
- The MIT terms permit use, modification and redistribution of the core code.
- They do not make current builds or later add-on features free, or grant rights to anything outside those repositories.
Evaluation builds
Builds offered during the launch period, or for evaluation, are provided as-is and without warranty. Test them against your own conditions before relying on them for anything that matters — particularly on a plant, where a wrong output is expensive.
No warranty
Software from this studio is provided without warranty of any kind. The licence that accompanies a product sets out the terms that actually apply; this page does not replace it.
Trademarks
Autodesk, Navisworks, SIEMENS and TIA Portal are trademarks of their respective owners. This studio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
- Navisworks files are read locally by NWD Studio; no Autodesk software or service is involved.
- Product names of third parties appear only to describe the formats or languages a tool works with.
Third-party components
Some products include third-party open-source components. Those components remain under their own licences, which govern them.
Changes
These terms are a placeholder until the licence is published. Changes are recorded by updating the date at the top of this page.
